The world's most-wanted fugitive, 26, was wounded in the leg during
his shootout with police in the Molenbeek district of Brussels on
Friday. Abdeslam had been wanted for 126 days after the attacks were
carried out on November 13.
Footage from the raid showed security personnel in masks and
all-black outfits posted on the block where the shootout occurred.
Reporters who were on the scene shared that there was white smoke coming
from one of the rooftops of a building on that street.
Prosecutors
told local media that police had found Abdeslam's fingerprints at the
scene of another raid in Brussels this past Tuesday, March 15.
Abdeslam's older brother, Brahim, was one of the suicide bombers who
carried out the attacks last fall. Salah was suspected as the eighth
ISIS member who participated in the attacks. He fled France for Belgium
after the incident took place in November.
The terrorist shootings and bombings claimed the lives of 130 people.
