Eva Mendes & Ryan Gosling Secretly Married After She Proposed To Him

Can Ryan Gosling, 35, and Eva Mendes, 42, not do anything in secret? The super gorgeous and super private Hollywood couple hides everything, including Eva’s pregnancies, from the public eye. 

The couple is so good at dodging the spotlight that they may have gotten married without anyone knowing it.

“[Eva] proposed to Ryan and he was completely shocked,” a source tells OK! magazine. After years of saying that she didn’t want to get hitched, Eva pulled a 180 and popped the question to him. The two wasted no time and were reportedly married in early June at their Hollywood Hills home, according to the source. HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Ryan and Eva’s reps for comments.

“The buzz is that they invited fewer than 30 people and told everyone they were coming to a backyard party,” the source claims. “Of course, anyone there was sworn to secrecy!” Well, Ryan and Eva are good at keeping secrets. Eva hid that she was pregnant with their second daughter, Amada Lee Gosling, just like they did with their first daughter, Esmeralda Gosling. Mere weeks after fans found out they were expecting, Ryan and Eva dropped the birth announcement out of nowhere! Surprise!

Amada’s birth is reportedly one of the reasons behind Eva’s change of heart. After welcoming her daughter into the world and seeing her brother, Juan Carlos Mendes, die from cancer, Eva was reminded “how short life is and how little it would take to make Ryan happy,” the source says. “She started to feel that perhaps she’d been needlessly stubborn.”

Ryan is definitely happy with his family life. “It’s heaven,” he said during a May 12 appearance on Good Morning America. “It’s like walking through a field of flowers every day. I live with angels.” With Ryan gushing about his relationship, Eva reportedly didn’t want to be a bad role model for her daughters.

“She doesn’t want them to grow up thinking that marriage is something to be avoided,” the source claims. So, it seems that Eva decided to take the plunge and say, “I do.” What’s next for these two? Ryan and Eva reportedly want to take a lavish Hawaiian honeymoon, and Ryan “wants a third child,” the source claims.
