Katt
Williams is in trouble again. This time, the troubled comedian was arrested
Sunday after he allegedly attacked a woman in California, TMZ
reported.
The
incident happened at the restaurant of the Sportsmen's Lodge, a Los
Angeles-area hotel.
A female employee with visible minor injuries told cops she was arrested and requested Williams be arrested for battery, according to TMZ.
Williams,
44, is in police custody charged with misdemeanor battery, the website
reported.
He
is being held, while cops investigate, in lieu of $20,000 bail.
This
is yet another of Williams' many arrests this year alone.
The
first incident Williams was charged with occurred in February of this year when
he allegedly attacked an employee at a pool supply store.
He
was charged in Florida with battery, hindering a 911 call and disorderly
conduct after he allegedly threw a pair of googles and then later punched the
unidentified man following an argument at the store.
Sgt.
Kevin Holbrook, of the Gainseville PD, said Williams was 'lying on the ground
with his hands behind his back as though he was ready to go to jail' when
officers arrived at the store, but 'not forthcoming with any information.'
He
was booked into jail and later released on $5,000 bond.
Williams did not manage to stay out of
trouble for very long however, racking up three arrests in March alone.
He was then charged with disorderly
conduct after he engaged in a fist fight with a teenager.
Video of the fight between Willliams
and 17-year-old Luke Wash, who despite his age is reportedly in the seventh
grade, is what led authorities to arrest him for the incident.
He appeared in court in March following
the incident and was released on $500 bond.
Williams was told by Judge Elizabeth
Reisman during that appearance; 'I really don't think you want to see me
anymore and I don't want to see you back in my court.
The comedian has a long and varied
arrest record, and in early March was picked up on charges of aggravated
assault, terrorist threats, and false imprisonment after an incident in Georgia
where he allegedly threatened to kill a man police believe worked as his
bodyguard.
Williams' legal troubles do not end
there either, as he is set to stand trial in a Los Angeles courtroom in the
near future on a robbery charge.
That charge came in September 2014
after a photographer accused Williams and his good friend Suge Knight of stealing
her camera after she allegedly took a photo of Knight's young son.
Knight, who is already behind bars on a
murder charge for his alleged role in a hit-and-run incident in Compton last
January, is also charged with making threats to the photographer.
The men have both
entered pleas of not guilty in that case.
Williams is also looking at a possible
battery charge in Los Angeles after he allegedly hit a man outside his hotel in
early April.
TMZ reports that Williams told police
he was inside his hotel when he witnessed a car crash outside, and rushed down
to try and help any possible victims.
That is when Williams claims a group of
tall 'rappers' began to mock his 5'5" stature. He claims that he then told
the men to shut up, at which point one punched him leading him to hit back in
self defense.
Other charges since 2006 include
carrying a concealed firearm, burglary and criminal trespass, felony
intimidation of a witness, assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment,
and multiple other assaults in addition to those mentioned above.
Despite this lengthy list of arrests
and serious charges, Williams has managed to avoid serving any significant
amount of time behind bars.
He was also arrested in April.
Officers responded to a call of a fight
at Spondivits, a restaurant just outside Atlanta where a manager at the
establishment had suffered a bloody lip after Williams allegedly threw salt
shaker at his face.
The manager and other witnesses at the
restaurant said that Williams and members of his family had argued with staff
when told the table they were at was for another party, and Williams then
became so enraged he threw the shaker.
