Real Madrid: The world's most valuable club

Few clubs can compete with Real Madrid on any level, but Los Blancos have the most valuable squad in the world, according to a player pricing and stats website.

Having been voted the club of the 20th century, Madrid are seen almost universally as the world's greatest football institution, a status backed up by eleven European Cup wins, the last of which came only in May.

Collectively, Transfermarket value their squad at 783 million euros, 12 million ahead of the next best, Barcelona.

Despite a fall in value due to his age, Cristiano Ronaldo remains a huge asset, while Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have both risen in price, to 90 million and 60 million respectively, over the last year.
For the most part, each individual has improved, with Isco and James Rodriguez, who both struggled last season, decreasing.

While a number of Premier League clubs are said to be keen on signing Rodriguez for 85 million euros, Transfermarket claim he is worth 70 million euros, a 10 million decrease from his debut campaign in 2014-15.

Clearly confident in his players' ability to bring more success to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu this season, Coach Zinedine Zidane doesn't believe many new faces are needed after the re-signing of Alvaro Morata from Juventus.
