APC gives free forms to women, disabled ahead of LG Elections in Adamawa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has started giving out free forms to women and disabled persons vying for the position of chairperson or councillor in the council areas.

According to the organising secretary of the party, Alhaji Ahmed Lawal, the gesture was enshrined in the party’s manifesto to carry everybody along irrespective of their social background and gender.

He also said that the party would do more if disabled persons and women were willing to contest.
Ahmed told DAILY POST at the party’s secretariat in Yola that the commencement of selling of nomination form by the party was as a result of election time table released by the state INEC.

He assured of credible primaries and election that will be generally acceptable to all as the party stands for justice and fairness to all.

“As you can see, people are just coming to pick forms, any woman vying for any position, her form is free; to pay for special interest form, that is only 50,000 Naira”, he said.
