Adam Levine goes platinum blond and leaves fans questioning his sex factor

It's a questionable new look

Adam Levine has dared to dye his hair blond - and his fans have given it a thumbs down.

The Maroon 5 singer, who's oozed sex appeal since he shot to stardom, performed at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

But ticket-holders expecting to go weak at the knees instead found themselves second-glancing when Adam stepped on stage with his new 'do.

The platinum colour could be spotted a mile off as the musician sang alongside his band mates in front of a jam-packed audience.

When it came to his vocals, Adam was on top form.

However the same sadly couldn't be said for his mane.

The singer still oozed confidence

It didn't take long for social media to be set alight as users rushed to discuss whether he'd made an error in judgement.

One person wrote: "I didn't want to see a blond Adam Levine."

Fans haven't reacted well to the change

Another added: "Adam Levine's blond hair makes me cringe so hard."

A third simply concluded: "Oh Adam Levine. That blond is not a good life choice." 

There's still plenty to love

Adam actually made the questionable change on the week running up to Christmas.

Hair connoisseurs got their first look at the 'do when the star's wife Behati Prinsloo shared a picture of him on Instagram.

The snap didn't reference Adam's locks and instead just showed the pair enjoying a roller coaster ride. 

One person who will no doubt give the 'do a thumbs up is his three-year-old super fan Mila.

Adam recently made her a very happy girl when he surprised her during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

During the interview Mila said her love was unconditional, so we imagine she'll let the hairstyle slide.
