BREAKING: Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle star David Ginola hospitalised after 'heart attack'

Former Premier League star David Ginola has fallen ill in France

INTERNATIONAL footballer David Ginola has been rushed to hospital following reports of a cardiac arrest at a stadium in France. 

Ginola, 49, famous for his dazzling Premier League performances for sides including Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, reportedly suffered a heart attack and has been hospitalised in Monaco.

The footballer was also signed to Newcastle United for £2.5 million in 1995. He has also played for Everton and Aston Villa.

Reports from France suggest Ginola is unconscious but in stable condition after falling ill at the football stadium of Mandelieu.

He has been transferred to the Hospital Princess Grace of Monaco.
