Real Madrid: The Kings of both formats

Champions League Final 2016 Los Blancos have dominated European Cup and Champions League
Real Madrid are kings of the European Cup with ten wins overall, and their dominance has not stopped since the competition became the Champions League in 1992.

Los Blancos dominated from the start, winning the trophy for the first five years since its inception (between 1956 and 1960), before adding another in 1966.

By the time of the rebrand, Real were the most successful club on the continent, ahead of Milan, Bayern Munich and eternal rivals Barcelona.
Their tight grip on the trophy has not wavered, adding another four titles to their collection over the past 24 years, a number only matched by the Blaugrana.

Victories in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2014 have cemented their place atop of Europe's elite, and beating city rivals Atletico at Milan's Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday will stand them alone as the best team in both formats.
The club have now reached five Champions League finals, having won the previous four and will be confident of adding another title to end the current campaign.
