AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy died while saving the life of his little sister when he pushed her out of the way as a car careered towards them.

Heroic La’Darious Wylie was waiting at the school bus stop with his seven-year-old sister when a out-of-control car appeared. That's when La'Darious lunged and pushed his sister, Sha'Vonta, out of the way.

Sha'Vonta told police what happened after the incident on October 27 in Chester, South Carolina, and said the car had gone before she was able to get up.

La'Darious died at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte the next day
and his mother decided to donate his organs "so that other children
might survive illness or injury".
His aunt Felicia Mobley said:
"We [are] just dealing with it on a daily basis because when it's a
tragedy like this we just have to deal with it day by day.
"He saved his sister. And he ended up being the one that's where he is now."
More than $20,000 (£13,000) has been raised through donations to help pay for his funeral.
Michelle Johnson, 57, was charged with felony and hit-and-run resulting in death. She faces a maximum of 25 years in jail if convicted.

His aunt added: " I don't hate her, I just wish she had stopped."
A petition has been started to rename the local park where the youngster played in his honour.
