Pep Guardiola linked with new goalkeepers after horror show from Joe Hart at the Euros.
Media
reports in Britain revealed on Wednesday that Barcelona's Chilean goalkeeper
Claudio Bravo and Spanish Victor Valdes are included in chief coach Pep
Guardiola's agenda for a possible move to Manchester City next football season.
The
Daily Mail noted it
appears that Guardiola considers it necessary to sign a new goalkeeper for the
Citizens, who currently rely on Joe Hart, reports Efe.
Guardiola
wants to introduce his style of play at City, exactly as he did previously with
Bayern Munich, which basically depends on solid possession with stronger
goalkeeping, and the Spaniard asked the management of the Manchester side to
get him goalkeepers to help him implement his philosophy.
Bravo,
who has a valid contract with Barcelona until 2018, has all the qualities
sought by Guardiola in a goalie.
However,
City are aware that signing Bravo short term might be problematic, and the club
is considering other options, such as Standard Liege goalkeeper Victor Valdes
or Real Sociedad goalie Geronimo Rulli.
