After releasing new song "The Life" from their upcoming album 7/27, girl group Fifth Harmony visited Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform their hit song "Work From Home" and also added some melody to a funny group text conversation.
he performance started at a parking lot, with the girls wearing the
same attire that they sported in the official music video of "Work From
Home." After surrounding a bulldozer, Camila Cabello hit the first verse
while they started making their way to the stage, Rolling Stone reported. During the sexy and energetic performance, Ty Dolla $ign appeared on the screen for his verse in the song.
Aside from that, Cabello, Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui also
sang a group text message with a bass-heavy beat about getting dinner
together delivering monotonous lines discussing on the free days and
times for the group gathering but actually ended getting cancelled.
"Being in a group text is the closest thing to being held hostage
without being held in an actual hostage situation," Kimmel said, according to Pop Crush.
Meanwhile, the group talked about the making of the
construction-themed video for "Work From Home" which features buff guys
wielding different tools. The video is choreographed by Sean Bankhead and Director X, who also did the choreography for the “Work” video of Rihanna and Drake.
The behind the scenes clip that was released on Friday, shows the
ladies dancing while gushing about Ty Dolla $ign being “cute,” “sweet”
and “talented.” The group also mentioned that the song is a "new era"
for them with a chilled-out vibe.
“It’s a groovy urban song. The chorus … is really catchy and easy to
sing along to,” Jauregui said while Kordie added: “It’s kind of one of
those songs that makes you just lay back. It’s not too in-your-face.
It’s one that you can just vibe to," MTV News reported.
