Carlos Guerrero joins Real Madrid

Valdebebas
Real Madrid Ex-Atletico player to work with youth teams
Carlos Guerrero is set to become part of Real Madrid's youth team set-up following the departure of Francisco Javier Torralbo.

The ex-Atletico Madrid and Valladolid midfielder will move to Real after a decade working with Getafe, in which he has moved up the ranks to become head of the youth team there.

He is replacing Torralbo, otherwise known as Piru and famous for his close relationship with Pere Guardiola, after the 41-year-old decided to leave in order to become the new sporting director of Granada, following an approach by the side's new owners.

The exact role Guerrero will perform is head of recruitment for the youth side, and so he is therefore tasked with finding Los Blancos their future stars.

A new generation of players that can be compared with Jese Rodriguez and Nacho, both of whom came through the side's academy ranks to play in the senior squad.
