| Marcelo has claimed Real Madrid are 100 per cent ready for the final. |
The final in Milan will no doubt be one of, if not the biggest game of
the season, and the Real Madrid left-back has revealed what he thinks
will be the decisive factor...
Real Madrid defender Marcelo believes that the Champions League final will be decided by 'small details'.
Los Blancos will ake on city rivals Atletico Madrid in a replay of
the 2014 final on Saturday, with Zidane's men after their 11th European
crown, whilst Simeone's side will be after their first Champions League
title.
Many believe it willbe the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale or
Antoine Griezmann who will be the decisive factors in the tie, but
Marcelo believes it will be the finer details which will decide the
winner, whilst also claiming Real are 100 per cent ready for the task
ahead.
"We're feeling as good as we could," he said. "We're ready, prepared and I think we'll fair quite well.
"I think in a final what decides the game is the small details and
we're thinking of all those. Everyone wants to win, you need to work and
run a lot and I think the small details are what's going to make a
difference."
Marcelo came on as a substitire to score one of Real's winning goals
in extra-time of the 2014 final, and whilst remembering that special
occassion, he believes they have to concentrate solely on this year and
not dwell on the past.
"It's impossible not to think of that game. It was very special," the
28-year-old added. "I personally believe that it's in the past, it's
over now and it's another final.
"[On Saturday] we have a chance to live a great day for us, but in
order to do that we need to fight because it's the Champions League
final and it's always very difficult to win."
