Cristiano Ronaldo defended when needed

Real Madrid CR7 helped Real Madrid's defenders when his team did not have possession
Yet another solid performance from Real Madrid's talisman against Barcelona.

Not only did he hit the crossbar and scored a goal, Ronaldo also helped Marcelo on the left side of Real's defensive line while Madrid were struggling without the ball.

This has been one of Zidane's points of emphasis and both Gareth Bale and Ronaldo helped their teammates defend in a display that was reminiscent of Real's impressive 4-0 win against Bayern Munich two years ago.

Needless to say, Ronaldo's productivity when Madrid started to dominate the tempo of the game was also very relevant, with the striker leaving his mark on the right side of the pitch before scoring Real's game-winning goal.
